Paradise: a specific use case, not a default recommendation

Paradise Beach is one of Mykonos’s most established party-oriented beaches, generally sheltered from northerly winds. It suits travelers looking for that specific scene — worth choosing on purpose rather than by default.

What to expect

  • A high-intensity organized beach with a strong day-to-night entertainment focus, distinct from the island’s quieter coasts.
  • Sheltered conditions relative to many north-facing beaches, generally making for calmer water.

Access and current status

  • Bus service and paved access are generally available; confirm current business status, timetables and any minimum-spend policies directly, as these shift by season and operator.

Practical information

Mykonos’s public buses (KTEL Mykonos) run from two hubs in Chora — Fabrika (southern and beach routes) and Old Port (northern and eastern routes, including Ano Mera). The official route list currently covers Ornos, Platis Gialos, Paraga, Paradise, Super Paradise, Agios Ioannis, Kalo Livadi, Kalafatis, Panormos, Elia, Agios Stefanos and Ano Mera. Fares are paid in cash on board, roughly €1.80–€3 depending on distance, and services run far more frequently from May to September than in the off-season.

FAQ

Is Paradise Beach suitable for a quiet swim?

Not typically — it’s oriented around an active day-to-night entertainment scene. Visitors wanting a calmer beach are better served elsewhere on the island.
